A luxury lodge spa in Hazyview is seeking an experienced and passionate Spa Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of its wellness facility. This role is ideally suited to a qualified spa professional with strong treatment experience, leadership ability and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences within a lodge environment.
The successful candidate will manage spa operations, maintain high treatment and service standards, support and develop therapists, and drive retail and treatment revenue. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who remains actively involved in treatments while ensuring the smooth running of the spa. The ideal candidate will be guest-focused, commercially aware and able to create memorable wellness experiences that complement the lodge’s luxury offering.
Job Description & Requirements:
- Oversee daily spa operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences
- Lead, support and motivate the spa team
- Conduct a variety of massage treatments, including reflexology
- Perform beauty treatments including waxing, Gelish applications, body wraps and body scrubs
- Maintain treatment quality and service standards at all times
- Drive retail sales and maximise revenue through upselling opportunities
- Manage stock control, ordering and product management
- Handle guest feedback professionally and efficiently
- Ensure health, hygiene and safety standards are maintained
- Manage spa administration, bookings and reporting requirements
- Build strong relationships with guests to encourage repeat visits
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the spa and wellness industry
- Diploma or Degree in Somatology or equivalent qualification
- Familiarity with lodge or luxury hospitality environments essential
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
- Strong industry knowledge and understanding of current wellness trends
- Knowledge of specialised massage techniques such as Cupping, Thai Massage or Yoga-based therapies will be beneficial
- Strong organisational, leadership and people management abilities
Package
- Salary: R10 000 – R12 000 per month and Commission
- Accommodation: Live-in or Stay-out
