Job Requirements
- Matric
- Culinary and Hygiene qualifications preferred (chef)
- 3–5 years’ experience in a 4/5‑star lodge environment (Essential)
- Strong cooking skills and excellent knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards
- Menu compilation and implementation
- Knowledge of all dietary requirements
- Strong stock control knowledge and procedures
- Good understanding of planning, budgeting and departmental administration
- Ability to lead, coordinate and train kitchen staff (hospitality)
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Ability to work under pressure with high attention to detail
- Maintain consistency in taste, portioning and presentation
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Ability to create, implement and maintain written control documents and training manuals
- Food portfolio required with application
