Hospitality and Outdoor – New Vacancy- Experienced Senior Reservationist

Office Based- White River- Mpumalanga

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Reservationist to join a growing central reservations office based in White River, Mpumalanga. This office-based role is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong reservations expertise and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in establishing and maintaining an efficient central reservations function across multiple hospitality properties.

The position requires a proactive individual who can confidently manage reservations from enquiry through to booking confirmation while ensuring accuracy in rates, availability, guest information, deposits, commissions and balances. The successful candidate will also provide guidance and support to the reservations team, helping to maintain service excellence and operational efficiency.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with sales, reservations and operational teams to ensure seamless guest handovers and exceptional service delivery. The ideal candidate will have previous senior reservations experience within luxury safari lodges, lodge collections or central reservations environments and possess excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills.

Job Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Proven senior reservations experience within luxury safari lodges, lodge collections or central reservations environments.
  • Manage direct guest, travel agent and DMC enquiries from quotation to booking confirmation.
  • Maintain accurate rates, availability, guest records and reservation information.
  • Calculate quotations, commissions, deposits and outstanding balances accurately.
  • Manage provisional bookings, follow-ups, amendments and cancellations.
  • Coordinate guest information and handovers with operational teams.
  • Support and guide the reservations team while maintaining service standards.
  • Prioritise workloads and oversee daily reservations activities.
  • Prepare reports on booking activity, sales performance and outstanding enquiries.
  • Strong reservations system knowledge and administration skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Package:

  • Salary: Competitive remuneration based on experience
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 (including a 30-minute lunch break)
  • Additional Coverage: Weekend and after-hours standby on a rotational basis
