A prestigious Luxury Game Lodge in Limpopo is seeking an experienced and dynamic F&B Manager / Deputy General Manager to oversee daily operations and support the General Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences. This exciting leadership opportunity is suited to a hospitality professional with strong operational expertise, financial acumen, and a passion for service excellence. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing Food & Beverage operations while providing strategic oversight across multiple departments including Housekeeping, Front Office, Meetings & Events, and Facilities in the absence of the General Manager.
This position requires a hands-on leader who can drive revenue growth, maintain high operational standards, and inspire teams to consistently exceed guest expectations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in luxury hospitality, excellent people management skills, and the ability to effectively oversee budgets, cost controls, guest satisfaction initiatives, and departmental performance. Working closely with department heads, the successful applicant will ensure the lodge operates efficiently, profitably, and in line with company standards and policies.

Job Requirements & Responsibilities
Requirements
- Previous experience as an F&B Manager, Operations Manager, Deputy GM, or similar senior hospitality role.
- Strong knowledge of luxury hospitality and lodge operations.
- Experience managing Food & Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Events departments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Strong financial management, budgeting, and cost control experience.
- Ability to analyse operational and financial performance reports.
- Experience in menu planning, pricing, promotions, and inventory management.
- Understanding of labour legislation, health and safety regulations, and hospitality compliance requirements.
- Strong guest relations and problem-solving abilities.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of hospitality management systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours and perform Manager on Duty shifts.
- Valid driver’s licence advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across Food & Beverage and other key departments.
- Act as the hotel operational lead in the absence of the General Manager.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and guest satisfaction targets.
- Manage departmental budgets and control operational costs.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure service excellence and property standards.
- Monitor housekeeping, maintenance, and facility requirements.
- Coordinate meetings, events, conferences, and in-house activities.
- Support menu development, beverage programmes, and purchasing decisions.
- Analyse financial reports and implement corrective actions where required.
- Lead recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and legislation.
- Foster a positive workplace culture and strong employee engagement.
- Maintain exceptional guest service standards and resolve guest concerns effectively.
- Prepare Manager on Duty schedules and operational reports.
- Assist with business planning, forecasting, and annual budget preparation.
