Introduction

An exciting opportunity is available for a hands-on Manager to lead a boutique 4-star safari Lodge based in Zululand, KwaZulu-Natal. This position falls within the premium Hospitality and Outdoor sector and is ideally suited to an experienced professional who thrives in a remote bush environment.

The successful Manager will take full responsibility for day-to-day lodge operations, ensuring a seamless and memorable guest experience while maintaining consistently high service standards. This role combines operational leadership with practical, hands-on involvement, including department management, staff supervision, and guest interaction.

Working closely with Head Office, you will ensure smooth execution of bookings, accurate reporting, and proactive communication across all lodge operations. This is an ideal opportunity for a self-motivated Manager who can work independently, lead from the front, and uphold exceptional Hospitality standards in a rewarding Outdoor setting.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience as a Lodge Manager or Assistant Manager– Essential
• Experience within a 4/5-star safari Lodge or reserve environment- Essential
• Ability to manage full Hospitality operations, including guest experience and staff supervision
• Good understanding of the Front of House and Food and Beverage function
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
• Basic culinary knowledge to assist in kitchen oversight when required
• Valid driver’s licence (Code 10 advantageous) and ability to operate larger vehicles
• Physically fit and adaptable to a demanding Outdoor environment
