Introduction  

A prestigious 4-star wine estate in Gauteng is seeking a professional and guest-focused Leisure Reservationist to join their hospitality team. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an individual with a passion for hospitality, tourism, and luxury guest experiences. The successful candidate will serve as the central point of contact for all leisure reservations, ensuring every guest receives exceptional service from the initial enquiry through to the completion of their stay or leisure experience.

The role involves coordinating accommodation bookings, spa treatments, dining reservations, special events, picnics, and day packages while creating personalised experiences that enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty. Working closely with the Leisure Supervisor and Reservations Manager, the Reservationist will contribute to revenue growth through service excellence, proactive sales, and effective guest engagement.

Candidates should possess strong organisational skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. Experience within an upmarket hotel, resort, wine estate, or luxury hospitality environment will be highly advantageous. The ideal applicant will be confident in converting enquiries into bookings and ensuring all guest requirements are managed efficiently and professionally.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in hotel reservations and/or leisure coordination.
  • Experience within an upmarket or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Spa or wellness reservation experience advantageous.
  • Strong guest liaison, relationship-building and sales conversion skills.
  • Advanced understanding of hospitality reservations and leisure operations.
  • Knowledge of spa, dining, events and leisure package coordination.
  • Experience with Opera, Protel or equivalent Property Management Systems.
  • Familiarity with online booking platforms and CRM systems.
  • Understanding of revenue optimisation and distribution channels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional and courteous telephone etiquette.
  • Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Matric / National Senior Certificate (Essential).
  • Hospitality or Tourism Diploma preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport (Essential).
  • Must reside within the Gauteng area and be able to commute daily.

 

Job Description

  • Manage all leisure reservations and guest enquiries.
  • Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings through proactive selling.
  • Coordinate accommodation, spa, dining and leisure experiences.
  • Assist with planning and managing guest itineraries.
  • Promote estate facilities, packages and special offers.
  • Deliver personalised guest communication and service.
  • Maintain accurate reservation records and guest information.
  • Collaborate with operational departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Support occupancy targets and revenue optimisation initiatives.
  • Uphold luxury hospitality standards and service excellence.

 

Salary: R14 500 per month (Depending on Experience)
