Job Requirements and Description
- Minimum of 3 years’ housekeeping supervisor/management experience in a 4/5‑star hospitality environment.
- Grade 12 qualification; formal hospitality degree advantageous.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Customer service oriented with high accountability.
- Computer literate with attention to detail.
- Ensure smooth daily housekeeping and laundry operations.
- Train, motivate, and manage housekeeping staff.
- Schedule staff and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Oversee staff performance and guest housekeeping needs.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments for seamless operations.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Conduct daily room checks and maintain public area cleanliness.
- Purchase cleaning supplies and manage stock levels.
- Handle guest queries and complaints professionally.
- Implement procedures to maintain cleanliness across all hotel areas.
- Conduct daily meetings, staff handovers, rostering, and monthly stock takes.
