A luxury safari lodge is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to join their team. This role is essential in ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently meet the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service expected in a premium hospitality environment.
This includes leading Room Attendants, allocating tasks, inspecting rooms, and maintaining strict quality control measures. Ensuring guest satisfaction remains a top priority, as the Housekeeping Manager will also respond to guest requests, manage special arrangements, and resolve queries efficiently and professionally.
The role requires a hands-on individual with strong leadership abilities, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining operational standards. Job Requirements & Responsibilities
Operational Supervision
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations on assigned floors or lodge areas
- Allocate rooms and deep-cleaning tasks to Room Attendants
- Oversee room-making and turndown service
- Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and back-of-house areas
- Ensure compliance with housekeeping SOPs and lodge standards
Guest Service & Quality Control
- Deliver professional and friendly service at all times
- Manage guest requests and VIP arrangements
- Resolve guest concerns efficiently
- Maintain knowledge of room categories and lodge facilities
- Ensure consistent quality control and guest satisfaction
Administration & Coordination
- Manage lost and found procedures
- Report maintenance issues promptly
- Support training and performance monitoring of staff
- Maintain accurate housekeeping records and communication
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations
- Promote safe use of equipment and chemicals
- Maintain strong interdepartmental relationships
Core Competencies
- Previous housekeeping supervisory experience
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good English communication skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
