An intimate luxury lodge located within the renowned Amakhala Reserve is seeking a confident and energetic FOH Host to join its team. This guest-facing position is ideal for a naturally sociable individual who enjoys creating memorable experiences and delivering warm, personalised service. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for guests and will play an important role in ensuring every arrival, stay and departure is seamless and memorable.
Job Description & Requirements:
- Welcome guests on arrival and ensure a warm, professional first impression
- Assist with guest check-ins and departures
- Provide information on lodge facilities, activities and reserve experiences
- Escort guests to suites and assist with orientation of the property
- Coordinate with housekeeping, guiding and food and beverage teams to ensure smooth guest service
- Handle guest requests efficiently and professionally
- Monitor guest satisfaction and proactively resolve concerns
- Maintain excellent communication between departments
- Assist with daily front-of-house operations and administrative tasks
- Support the management team in delivering exceptional hospitality standards
- Present a polished and professional appearance at all times
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Bubbly, outgoing and engaging personality essential
- Passion for hospitality and guest service
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Comfortable interacting with discerning local and international guests
- Ability to work flexible hospitality hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Previous front-of-house, guest relations, hosting or hospitality experience advantageous
- Luxury lodge or safari lodge experience advantageous
- Knowledge of the Eastern Cape tourism and safari environment advantageous
- Positive attitude, team-player mentality and service-driven approach
Package
- Salary: R8 000 – R10 000 per month depending on experience
- Accommodation: Live-in
