Dinokeng Game Reserve, Gauteng 

Introduction 

An exciting Guide opportunity is available within the Wildlife and Safari industry in Dinokeng Game Reserve, Gauteng. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Field Guide to join a professional guiding team. This role is ideal for an individual who has a strong commitment to conservation, exceptional guest experiences, and ethical guiding practices. If you enjoy working in nature, thrive in a team environment, and are willing to assist in various aspects of lodge operations, this could be the perfect next step in your guiding career. 

Job Requirements 

• NQF Level 2 qualification or higher. 

• Valid First Aid certification. 

• Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit). 

• SAPS competency certificate for a manually operated rifle and business purposes. 

• Apprentice Trails Guide qualification or higher / VPDA. 

• Previous guiding experience within the Wildlife and Safari industry preferred. 

• Passion for conservation and environmental stewardship. 

• Strong understanding of ethical Guide practices. 

• Ability to work effectively within a team of 12 to 15 guides. 

• Willingness to assist in other lodge operational duties when required. 

• Professional appearance and excellent guest interaction skills. 

• Strong work ethic and enthusiasm for outdoor living and learning. 

Package 

• Starting salary of R7,500 per month. 

• Salary negotiable depending on experience. 

• Accommodation provided. 

• Two meals per day provided. 

• Uniform provided. 

• 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off work cycle.
