Executive Chef – Luxury Lodge Botswana

Introduction

A leading luxury hospitality group in Botswana is seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef to join their remote lodgeoperation. This is a premium opportunity for a talented chef with strong lodge-based experience and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary standards in a high-end hospitality environment. The successful Executive Chef will be responsible for driving the full kitchen operation within a luxury Botswana lodge, ensuring consistent excellence, creativity, and precision across all dining experiences. This role demands a chef who thrives in remote lodge hospitality settings, understands luxury guest expectations, and can lead with authority and consistency.

Job Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent (essential for permits in Botswana for an Executive Chef role)
Minimum 5 years’ senior chef experience in a medium to large lodge or hotel environment within hospitality
Previous African lodge experience strongly preferred
Proven ability as an Executive Chef to lead and coordinate a lodge kitchen brigade
Strong food hygiene and professional culinary certifications
Ability to design and execute refined menus aligned with luxury lodge hospitality standards
Strong understanding of current hospitality food and beverage trends
Knowledge of dietary, cultural, and religious requirements in lodge operations

Package

BWP 25,000 – 35,000 per month (dependent on experience)
Live-in accommodation and meals at the lodge
Additional benefits to be discussed based on Executive Chef experience
