Chef Facilitator Assessor Culinary Vacancy | Limpopo Bela-Bela

Introduction

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef Facilitator / Assessor to join its dynamic culinary education team in Bela-Bela, Limpopo. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a qualified culinary professional to facilitate, assess, and mentor learners enrolled in local and international culinary qualifications.

The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary expertise, excellent organisational abilities, and a passion for teaching. Flexibility is essential, as the position may require evening, weekend, and assessment-period work.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate guided theoretical and practical culinary classes
• Prepare lesson plans and practical training activities
• Manage stock ordering and inventory control for classes
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards
• Assess learner performance and manage online portfolios
• Provide mentorship and support to culinary students
• Assist the culinary team during peak operational periods
• Contribute to the delivery of accredited culinary qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Trade Tested Occupational Chef Certificate
• Minimum 2 years of post-qualification industry experience
• Registered or accredited Assessor and Facilitator qualification
• Willingness to relocate to Bela-Bela
• Pastry experience and skills will be advantageous
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Strong administrative and record-keeping abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Salary: CTC R13 000 – Live Out position
