Introduction
An exciting opportunity is available for a hands-on Camp Manager to oversee the daily operation of a bush lodge. This role will suit a practical, guest-focused hospitality professional who enjoys working in a remote environment and leading from the front. The successful candidate will help maintain high service standards, coordinate the team and ensure that guests enjoy a welcoming and well-organised lodge experience.
Job Description & Requirements:

Oversee the day-to-day operation of the camp and coordinate activities across guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage and general lodge operations.

Welcome guests, assist with enquiries and ensure that all guest requests are handled professionally and promptly.

Maintain consistent hospitality and service standards throughout the guest journey.

Coordinate staff duties, shift arrangements and daily operational requirements.

Lead, support and motivate the lodge team through clear communication and hands-on involvement.

Monitor housekeeping, public areas, accommodation units and back-of-house facilities to ensure high standards of presentation and cleanliness.

Assist with stock control, purchasing, supplier coordination and the responsible use of lodge resources.

Support meal service arrangements and liaise with the kitchen or food service team regarding guest requirements.

Handle guest feedback and operational challenges calmly, professionally and solutions-focused.

Assist with administrative duties, operational reporting, cash handling and basic cost controls where required.

Help maintain lodge assets by identifying maintenance needs and coordinating repairs or preventative upkeep.

Follow health, safety, hygiene and environmental procedures appropriate to a bush lodge environment.

A guest-focused approach, strong organisational ability and confident team leadership are important for this position.

Candidates should be comfortable living and working in a remote hospitality environment.

Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Previous lodge, camp, hotel or hospitality management experience will be advantageous.

Experience with stock control, reservations, guest relations or hospitality administration will be advantageous.

Computer literacy and familiarity with hospitality management systems will be advantageous.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, adaptable, detail-conscious and willing to assist wherever operationally required.
