Introduction

A luxury Lodge in the scenic Southwest Waterberg, Limpopo is seeking two warm, professional and guest-focused Butler / Waiter candidates to join its hospitality team ahead of its 2026 reopening. This exciting Hospitality opportunity is ideal for well-presented, friendly and grounded individuals who enjoy creating a welcoming guest experience in a remote boutique lodge environment.

The successful Butler / Waiter will support dining service, bar service, guest hosting, lodge orientation, activity coordination and general guest communication while helping deliver seamless international guest experiences.

Job Requirements

• Clear criminal record.
• Strong and reliable employment history with verifiable references.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in lodge service, waitering, bar service or guest hosting.
• Excellent English fluency, both written and spoken.
• Afrikaans will be advantageous.
• Confident, well-spoken and comfortable engaging with international guests.
• Strong Butler, Waiter, Lodge and Hospitality service skills.
• Bar experience essential, including basic coffees, cocktails and drinks.
• Able to present wine descriptions and menu pairings confidently.
• Able to assist with table setup, clearing, resetting and dining service.
• Comfortable using POS systems accurately.
• Able to manage guest schedules, activity times and guest requests.
• Willing to support housekeeping, kitchen or bar teams when required.
• Must be comfortable living and working in a remote lodge environment.
• Reliable transport plan required due to remote farm access and gravel roads.

Package

• Salary: R7,000 per month, dependent on experience.
• Shared tip pool participation.
• Lunch and dinner provided while on duty.
• Private bedroom in staff housing.
• Communal bathroom and kitchen facilities.
• Water and electricity included.
• Uniform provided, excluding footwear.
• Self-service laundry facilities.
• 6 days off per calendar month.
• 15 days annual leave per annum.
