Assistant Management Couple

A stunning safari lodge in the Vaalwater area is looking for an experienced Assistant Management Couple to join their team. This opportunity is ideally suited to a couple consisting of a Back-up Trails Guide and an Assistant Manager / Lodge Anchor who are passionate about hospitality, guest service, and bush living. The successful team will play a key role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the lodge. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on couple who enjoy working in a remote wilderness environment and can contribute across multiple departments.
Job Description & Requirements:
- One partner will fulfil the role of Back-up Trails Guide
- Assist with guided bush walks, game drives, and outdoor guest activities
- Deliver informative and engaging wildlife and environmental interpretation
- Ensure guest safety and adherence to lodge operating procedures
- Support conservation-focused guest experiences and activities
- Assist with general lodge operations when required
- One partner will fulfil the role of Assistant Manager / Lodge Anchor
- Manage guest check-ins, departures, and guest relations activities
- Assist with reservations, administration, and front office duties
- Coordinate guest communications and special requests
- Support housekeeping, food and beverage, and operational departments
- Maintain service standards and ensure attention to detail throughout the guest journey
- Assist with staff supervision and operational reporting
- Handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently
- Hospitality lodge experience is essential
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills are essential
- Relevant Trails Guide qualifications and guiding experience are advantageous
- Lodge Anchor, reception, reservations, or hospitality administration experience is advantageous
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote lodge environment
- Professional presentation and a guest-focused approach are essential
