Upmarket Restaurant – Fourways – Gauteng

Our client, an upmarket restaurant in Fourways, is seeking an experienced Restaurant Assistant General Manager to manage their team.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years in a management role within the hospitality or fine dining industry.
• Hospitality Management Diploma or similar will be beneficial
• Proven track record of leading and managing teams in a high-pressure environment.
• Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with staff and guests.
• Proficient in restaurant management software (POS systems, scheduling tools, etc.).
• Solid financial acumen with the ability to analyze data and manage budgets.
• In-depth understanding of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail knowledge.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and employment regulations.
• Highly organized with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
• Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
• Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the restaurant’s operating hours.

Package

• Salary: R19 000 – R22 000 depending on experience
