New Vacancy – Reservations Manager
Luxury private game reserve in the heart of the Karoo. Sleeping a total of 40 pax, within a big 5, environmentally sustainable lodge. The main drive of the lodge is conservation of wildlife and vegetation.
Please note if you are a resident of Graaff-Reniet, you have the benefit of residing off-site.
Requirements for the Reservations Manager
- 3-5 years of experience in reservations within the hospitality industry
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of PAN Hospitality software preferred
- Excellent written and verbal English
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work in a remote, lodge-based setting
- Additional customer service experience advantageous
- Microsoft Excel proficiency advantageous
Duties
- Being a professional, friendly, courteous and efficient first point of contact for guests who have booked at or are enquiring about making booking
- Managing the reservations process from start to finish in line with booking terms and conditions and standard operating procedures
- Ensuring that lodge accommodations and experiences are sold in a way that maximises revenue whilst exceeding guest expectations
- Building relationships with tour operators and travel advisors by providing accurate, detailed information that serves their guests in a timely manner.
- Optimising conversion rates of enquiries into bookings
- Developing bespoke itineraries for VIPs and themed trips
- Overseeing dissemination of correct rates and booking terms and conditions on online platforms
- Regular reporting on sales, income due, new business, enquiries and booking releases
- General office and administrative duties related to the smooth running of the reservations office
