Maintenance Manager

Game Reserve- Limpopo (Hoedspruit Region)

30,000 hectare,big-5 reserve in the Limpopo Province is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance on the reserve, with particular emphasis on the following:

Requirements

• Minimum of Grade 12 / Matric
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field would be advantageous
• Good knowledge of and experience with electrified game fencing
• Good mechanical knowledge and abilities, including vehicles, chainsaws, brush cutters etc.
• Good knowledge of general building maintenance
• Excellent planning ability, and the ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines
• Good basic computer literacy and reporting skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and motivate a team of 10 staff members.
• Ability to communicate in Sepedi or Shangaan would be an advantage
• Valid Code 8 driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and upgrades to the reserve boundary fence, as well as to any internal fencing.
• Maintaining and upgrading all roads on the reserve.
• Responsibility for workshop management and maintenance of the fleet, comprising of several vehicles, 2 tractors and a TLB
• Responsibility for the maintenance and improvement of all buildings and associated infrastructure, including boreholes, plumbing and electrical systems, and waste management
• Responsible for ensuring adherence to the OHS Act
• Fire management including firebreaks, controlled burns and wildfire suppression

Package on offer

• R 30-32 000 CTC per month depending on experience
• 3-bedroom house
