New Vacancy – Management Couple  

Inhambane – Mozambique 

 

Our client is in search of a Lodge Management Couple, to manage the daily operations and to maintain the 5* standard across this luxurious property, situated right next to the beach.  

 

Requirements 

  • Proven experience in hospitality management, preferably in a lodge or resort setting. 
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team. 
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. 
  • Proficiency in managing kitchen operations, including menu planning and food safety. 
  • Experience in building maintenance and basic repair work. 
  • Certified skipper with experience in operating a catamaran. 
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Portuguese is an advantage. 
  • Flexibility to work in a remote location and adapt to varying work demands. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly 

 

Description 

Lodge Management 

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the lodge. 
  • 5+ years previous management experience 
  • Ensure a high standard of guest services and satisfaction. 
  • Manage staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. 
  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs, providing personalised service. 
  • Manage reservations, bookings, and guest inquiries. 
  • Maintain financial records, including budgeting, expense tracking, and reporting. 

Kitchen Management 

  • Oversee kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and food preparation. 
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards are met. 
  • Coordinate with suppliers to procure fresh and quality ingredients. 
  • Manage kitchen employees, ensuring efficient and smooth operations. 
  • Food and beverage Stock control 
  • Guest Relations 
  • Provide exceptional hospitality and address guest concerns promptly. 
  • Organize and facilitate guest activities, excursions, and special events. 
  • Ensure all guest areas are well-maintained and welcoming. 

Lodge Building Maintenance 

  • Conduct maintenance and upkeep of lodge facilities and infrastructure. 
  • Conduct timely repairs and preventive maintenance. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations. 

Catamaran Skipper 

  • Serve as the skipper for the lodge’s catamaran, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of guests during excursions. 
  • Maintain the catamaran, ensuring it is in top condition and meets safety standards. 
  • Plan and execute catamaran trips, providing guests with memorable experiences.
