Junior Maintenance

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Essential)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar maintenance role in a hospitality setting (Essential)
• Driver’s licence (essential)
• Good all-rounder (especially with general and building maintenance)
• Sound knowledge of carpentry, construction, pools, gardens, electrical and plumbing and the upkeep needed in terms of routine scheduling and equipment
• Computer literate
• Good English communication skills, written and spoken
• Young, hardworking, hands on individual with sober habits
• Detail oriented and very organised
• Takes initiative and can work unsupervised- task oriented

Description

• Part of a team responsible for the overall Maintenance of lodge and farm, and all other facilities, including the upkeep of buildings, fixtures, furniture and equipment, landscaping and gardens, and recreational facilities.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with company standards.
• Able to follow a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Program for lodge and farm that is implemented by management and that all essential equipment is serviced and maintained in a manner which prolongs the lifespan of all equipment.
• Communicates with guests and conducts regular satisfaction checks and provide feedback.
• Communicates with management and provides feedback on any issues or routine maintenance that needs to be scheduled that would interfere with guest satisfaction
• Perform occasional other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
