Junior Manager

5 * Safari Lodge – Grahamstown Area, Eastern Cape

Requirements

• Hospitality qualifications from a recognised institute (Essential)
• At least 3 years’ experience in a managerial/supervisory role in 4/5star lodge operation (Essential)- Previous 5-star environment exposure essential to provide superior service consistently
• Check all SOPs of Lodge operations daily
• Good understanding of all functions within a lodge operation, especially FOH and F&B
• Must be very hands on- enjoy the safari lifestyle
• Good financial acumen.
• Excellent Customer Relations- must enjoy hosting
• Front office experience essential- Fluent in MS Office, MS Word & MS Excel, Reservations programs, POS systems and Cash up procedures.
• Excellent communication skills- written and verbal (English essential, Xhosa beneficial)
• Proven track record of managing staff in a successful and empathetic way
• Organised and extremely detail- oriented
• Pro-active in trouble shooting issues and can work under pressure
• Systematically improve standards and be a shining example to the staff
• Honest, have good integrity, proactive and driven person who has career ambitions
• Knowledge of cultural and community history beneficial- Eastern Cape Candidates will be prioritised
• Professional and well groomed
• VALID SA Driver’s license essential (own transport beneficial)

Package on offer

• Salary: R13 000 Neg D.O.E
