Maintenance/Project Manager
Luxury Lodge- Northwest
This is a leadership position for a strategic thinker and experienced project manager. You will oversee all technical maintenance operations while also leading complex property development and renovation projects from concept to completion. Your ability to balance hands-on oversight with high-level project execution will directly impact the continued success and guest satisfaction at this luxury destination
Requirements of the Position
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Manager (4/5 Star Establishments)- Essential
- Demonstrated expertise in project management—including planning, execution, budgeting, and reporting- Essential
- Proven track record of leading complex refurbishment, infrastructure, or construction projects- Essential
- Previous lodge experience preferred
- Trade Qualification highly advantageous
- Excellent all-rounder (Electrical, Plumbing, Building, Airconditioning)
Responsibilities of the Position (Summary)
- Plan and execute short- and long-term maintenance and refurbishment projects with minimal disruption to operations.
- Lead budgeting, scheduling, contractor management, and quality control for all projects.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize capital expenditures and propose enhancements to improve guest experience and asset value
- Coordinate and manage all maintenance and gardens team members.
- Efficiently and effectively assess maintenance requirements.
- Schedule current and upcoming work assignments; distribute and sort assignments into and according to identified priorities, including emergency repairs.
- Coordinate and manage maintenance and repairs to structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Coordinate and manage services, maintenance and repairs of geysers, heating and air conditioning systems, and water systems including pumps.
- Coordinate and manage maintenance and repairs of finishing, ceilings, flooring, and roofing.
- Coordinate and manage services, maintenance and repairs to all appliances including stoves, refrigeration units, and laundry equipment and machines.
- Coordinate all required services and maintain fire protection equipment, such as fire hoses and fire extinguishers.
- Organize and schedule the workload according to business activity and identified priorities.
- Monitor energy expenditure.
- Implement the property’s preventative maintenance schedule.
- Manage all upkeep tasks, keeping a daily log of activity and work orders.
- Set up and monitor periodic visits relating to maintenance contracts.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections.
- Work with corporate maintenance on remodeling projects or capital expenditure needs.
- Management of departmental budget and all staff related functions.
