Housekeeping Manager
Luxury Hotel – Stellenbosch
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Relevant hospitality certificates advantageous
- Driver’s License is preferable.
- Previous experience in a similar role at a 4* OR 5* lodge / hotel
- Stock and systems knowledge
- Computer Literate
- Guest centric
Description:
- Complete and perform all staffing requirements to ensure the smooth running of the Housekeeping and Public Areas and Laundry.
- Complete monthly rosters and scheduling to ensure all areas of the department are covered.
- Ensure time sheets are accurate and correct.
- Allocate annual leave for the department and report to HR.
- Conduct performance reviews.
- Deal with staff requests and issues in a fair and respectful manner.
- Manage punctuality and appearance of the housekeeping team, making sure that they wear the correct uniform and maintain the highest standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
- Ensure that all Code of Conduct processes and requirements are being adhered and followed.
- Perform and manage all relevant stock, stock takes, and ordering processes.
- Proactively manage costs.
- Ensure all weekly and monthly orders are placed in a timely manner.
- Perform weekly and monthly stock takes as per MSL requirements.
- Ensure that all par level systems and the issuing in and out stock procedures are always adhered to.
- Record and manage breakages, write offs and expired stock.
Package on offer:
R20k – R28k, Negotiable depending on experience.
