Requirements
- Valid RSA Driver’s License
- Proficient in MS Office and Email
- Exceptional Guest Relations skills
- Ability to manage staff
- Understanding and ability to manage the housekeeping department
- Ability to plan ahead and problem solve
- Financial experience in budget control, stock takes and stock control
- Previous experience in a 4/5-star hotel as a housekeeping manager is compulsory
Description
- Management of the Housekeeping function
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Self-motivated, organized and disciplined work ethics
- Ensure all guest rooms are cleaned and prepared, maintain cleanliness of all vacant rooms daily to the property and company standard.
- Ensure turn down service is performed to the property and company standards.
- Safekeeping and monitoring of laundry and housekeeping equipment
- Ensure all information available on guests are collected and communicated prior to arrival.
- To manage and monitor all costs and implement measures to control them.
- Maintain discipline in the department according to company standards, address deviations according to disciplinary company standards.
