Requirements

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position in a luxury lodge environment
  • Food hygiene or Professional Cookery Qualification
  • Knowledge of dietary and religious requirements
  • Good knowledge and understanding of stock procedures and control
  • Passion for food and personal growth within the company
  • Candidate needs to be self-motivated and versatile, display a ‘go – team attitude’ and understand that hard work comes with the territory.
  • Exposure to multiple sections in the kitchen.

Description

  • Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef with daily preparations.
  • Ensure that all food is being prepared to the highest standards.
  • Willing to assist in all departments in a restaurant!!!
  • Ensure efficient work with the focus on completing the task within the time available and to the standard set.
  • Assisting with Stock control and month end procedures
  • Being able to thrive in a rural environment as well as work place.
