Head Chef

Luxury Lodge- Greater Kruger Area

Strong, Dynamic Head Chef needed for a beautiful 5* Camp in the Timbavati area. A proven track record in creating and plating exciting new dishes and a strong background in Kitchen administration is needed to excel in this role.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 Years previous senior chef experience in a 5* Lodge Environment (Essential)
• Food Hygiene and professional cooking qualifications (Essential)
• Comprehensive knowledge of current leading culinary trends- wine pairing knowledge advantageous.
• Knowledgeable of all dietary and religious requirements
• Good knowledge of creating, implementing, and maintaining written control documents and training manuals
• Good knowledge and understanding of stock procedures and control
• Good knowledge of planning, budgeting, and departmental administration
• Mature, responsible well-presented individual who can problem solve and are of sober habits
• Great team player who can work well under pressure
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Hands on, running shifts.
• Excellent Guest relations skills- Enjoy interacting with guests.
• Computer Literate (Word, Excel, Micros)- PANstrat knowledge will be advantageous
• Understands Lodge culture- living and working in a Remote Area

Package on offer:
