General Manager  

Boutique Hotel & Spa – Johannesburg (Roodepoort)

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in either Management or Hospitality (Highly Beneficial)
  • A minimum of 3 years General Management experience in a 3/4/5-star Boutique Hotel and +10 years’ experience in hospitality. (Essential)
  • Must be comfortable with events and good organisational skills.
  • Management of staff, finance experience, oversee reception, incoming sales conversions, stock take oversee etc
  • Important: can work with other cultures, team player and motivator
  • Strong personality and highly motivated
  • Excellent people skills, good at managing small teams.
  • Good financial acumen.
  • Must be able to work shifts / weekends / public holidays.
  • Responsible for all hotel services/daily operations, such as guest relations, arrivals/departures, reservations, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, revenue management, expense/budget management, team building, and employee development
  • Overseeing all stock sheets
  • PMS & reservations experience and vast knowledge of OTAs (Booking.com, tour operators, etc.)
  • Must be available to start immediately.

  • Good allrounder with knowledge of all lodge aspects (FOH, F&B, Maintenance, Finances, HR, Project Management etc.)
  • A person that is highly respectful to local cultures and works well with local staff members.
  • Create and maintain a detailed skills development plan for all staff.
  • Guest focused philosophy.
  • Must work accurately under pressure.
  • People skills – tolerance, patience, and care.

Package on offer

R28 000 pm (Negotiable depending on experience)

Starting Date: ASAP.
