New Vacancy – Commis Chef
Luxury Lodge – Waterberg, Limpopo
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience as a Commis Chef in a 4/5 star environment (Essential)
- Culinary qualification or relevant certification (Preferred)
- Basic knowledge of all kitchen sections and cooking techniques
- Ability to produce good quality basic food under supervision
- Understanding of health, safety, and basic food hygiene practices
- Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a strong passion for cooking
- Good oral communication and ability to work effectively in a team
- Organizational and time management skills
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef with daily preparations and planning
- Work across various kitchen stations to expand culinary knowledge and skills
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to high-quality standards
- Adhere to sanitation regulations and food safety requirements at all times
- Handle and prepare food and kitchen equipment properly
- Assist with meal preparation, receiving deliveries, and rotating stock
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas
- Support the team in creating an exceptional culinary experience for guests
Package on Offer:
- R5 500 per month, depending on experience
- Live-in position
