New Vacancy – Commis Chef

Luxury Lodge – Waterberg, Limpopo

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Commis Chef in a 4/5 star environment (Essential)
  • Culinary qualification or relevant certification (Preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of all kitchen sections and cooking techniques
  • Ability to produce good quality basic food under supervision
  • Understanding of health, safety, and basic food hygiene practices
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a strong passion for cooking
  • Good oral communication and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef with daily preparations and planning
  • Work across various kitchen stations to expand culinary knowledge and skills
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to high-quality standards
  • Adhere to sanitation regulations and food safety requirements at all times
  • Handle and prepare food and kitchen equipment properly
  • Assist with meal preparation, receiving deliveries, and rotating stock
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas
  • Support the team in creating an exceptional culinary experience for guests

Package on Offer:

  • R5 500 per month, depending on experience
  • Live-in position
