New Vacancy – Chef de Partie
Luxury Lodge – Waterberg, Limpopo
Requirements:
- Culinary qualification preferred.
- 2 – 3 years experience in a Chef de Partie role in a 5 star environment.
- Basic knowledge of all kitchen sections and cooking techniques.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Ability to produce high-quality food with attention to detail.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Multitasking and adaptability under pressure.
- Good oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, equipment, and ingredients.
- Commitment to cleanliness and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Run a kitchen section and report to the Sous Chef
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in your specialty area
- Plan and execute mise en place according to SOP, ensuring proper handover
- Order supplies for your section and manage stock control
- Supervise the setup and readiness of menu items in your section
- Collaborate with Chefs to ensure consistency in seasoning, portions, and presentation
- Maintain proper food storage practices to avoid wastage
- Deliver dishes promptly, adapting to last-minute changes as needed
- Follow safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices at all times
- Keep detailed records of preparation and presentation for reference
- Coordinate tasks with team members and help them achieve optimum results.
Package on Offer:
- R7 500 per month – depending on experience
- Live-in position
