New Vacancy – Chef de Partie

Luxury Lodge – Waterberg, Limpopo

Requirements:

  • Culinary qualification preferred.
  • 2 – 3 years experience in a Chef de Partie role in a 5 star environment.
  • Basic knowledge of all kitchen sections and cooking techniques.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to produce high-quality food with attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Multitasking and adaptability under pressure.
  • Good oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of various cooking methods, equipment, and ingredients.
  • Commitment to cleanliness and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Run a kitchen section and report to the Sous Chef
  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in your specialty area
  • Plan and execute mise en place according to SOP, ensuring proper handover
  • Order supplies for your section and manage stock control
  • Supervise the setup and readiness of menu items in your section
  • Collaborate with Chefs to ensure consistency in seasoning, portions, and presentation
  • Maintain proper food storage practices to avoid wastage
  • Deliver dishes promptly, adapting to last-minute changes as needed
  • Follow safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices at all times
  • Keep detailed records of preparation and presentation for reference
  • Coordinate tasks with team members and help them achieve optimum results.

Package on Offer:

  • R7 500 per month – depending on experience
  • Live-in position
