New Vacancy –Chef de Partie

Luxury Lodge – Paterson, Eastern Cape

Requirements:

  • Diploma or formal qualification in Culinary Arts.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience producing up-market cuisine.
  • Proven experience in a similar role at a 5-star Lodge/Hotel.
  • Current Food Handler Health Card or HACCP/Food Safety Certificate.
  • Proficient in English communication (spoken and written).
  • Knowledge of GAAP POS systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of food costing and wastage control.
  • Sober habits with the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Valid driver’s license (preferred).
  • Solid understanding of Food & Beverage Service standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and produce authentic and innovative cuisines of high quality.
  • Support kitchen management in ensuring readiness for service before each shift.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, policies, and standards.
  • Ensure proper handling, care, and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and tools.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Maintain accurate kitchen records under the guidance of kitchen management.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, security, and health regulations.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen sections to provide personalized guest service.

 

Package on Offer:

  • R11 500 per month depending on experience.
  • Live-in position.
  • 3 week on/1 week off cycle.
