4 Star Hotel – Cape Town

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of previous experience in a 4/5-star hotel environment (Essential)
  • Proven track record and food portfolio
  • Professional Cookery or Food Hygiene qualification
  • Knowledge of dietary and religious food requirements
  • Strong understanding of stock procedures and control
  • Passion for food and continuous personal growth
  • Team player, flexible, and hard-working
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
  • Guest-centric with professional communication abilities

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage a kitchen section and assist Head and Sous Chefs with daily preparations
  • Prepare and present high-quality dishes to the highest standards
  • Ensure mise en place and section setup per SOP; order supplies as needed
  • Assist with stock control and month-end procedures
  • Collaborate on seasoning, portions, and presentation
  • Complete tasks efficiently within set time frames
  • Store food properly to avoid wastage and ensure timely delivery
  • Maintain safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
  • Adapt to last-minute changes and keep accurate records
  • Coordinate with team members and ensure food safety compliance

Package on Offer:

  • R10 000 per month depending on experience
