Job Requirements

 

  • Driver’s license and own vehicle essential
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in hospitality, preferably in a management role in a small or boutique resort.
  • Experience in remote or rural settings is an advantage. Special preference to culinary and F&B skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a small, diverse team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, especially when working with limited staff and resources.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and excellent customer service skills, thereby creating exceptional, welcoming and positive guest experiences.
  • Experience with budgeting, financial management, and cost control to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Ability to handle complaints and resolve issues efficiently and professionally. To think quickly and make decisions under pressure, especially when unexpected issues arise.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with guests, staff, vendors, suppliers and management professionally.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage daily operation schedules and inventory.
  • Ensuring that all aspects of the resort are maintained to high standards.
  • Ability to develop and execute marketing strategies to attract and retain guests.
  • Knowledge of health, safety and emergency procedures to ensure compliance and guest safety
  • In a small resort with limited staff, the manager may need to be hands-on with some physical tasks, such as assisting with cleaning, maintenance, or meal service.
  • Familiarity with basic computerized software, booking platforms, and social media management tools.
