Assistant Management Couple

Luxury private Safari lodge- Waterberg, Limpopo

A position has just opened for a young and ambitious Assistant Management couple at a stunning intimate Safari Lodge in the Waterberg area. The couple must have good experience (3 years +) in luxury 4/5* lodges with a background in Guiding and Front of house/ Admin. A great opportunity for a versatile management couple to gain some great experience. Must be able to stand in for the GM couple when they are offsite.

Requirements:

Assistant Manager:

• Good computer skills / social media and marketing
• Office administration
• Exceptional Guest Relations skills
• Ability to think on the spot
• Willingness to learn and be hands-on
• Valid RSA Driver’s License with a public driver’s permit (PDP)

Responsibilities include:

• Hosting guests
• Check-in & check-outs
• Working alongside the GM and reservations manager
• Office administration – reservations and social media
• Monthly reporting to GM
• Overseeing various departments (kitchen/housekeeping, etc.)

Field Guide (Relief Manager):

• Qualified Game Ranger/Field Guide with FGASA Level 1 (Essential)
• General Maintenance skills
• Excellent hosting skills- can help the lodge management team when needed
• Reliable and adaptable
• Valid RSA Driver’s License with a public driver’s permit (PDP)

Responsibilities include:                                 

• All Field Guide duties- planning and execution of successful game drives
• Hosting duties- Assist in Front of house and during meal times where needed
• General Maintenance and repairs to all buildings.
• Upkeep and repairs of all public areas.
• Fleet Management of company vehicles.

Package:

• Salary: R 25 – 30k (for the couple) D.O.E
• Live-in accommodation (cannot accommodate children or pets)
